Did you work over 40 hours per week for BBG, Inc. while employed as an Appraisal Analyst, Research Appraiser, or Trainee Appraisers (together, “Appraisers”)? If yes, we are interested in hearing from you as you may have claims for unpaid overtime wages.

On September 3, 2023, the law firms of Shavitz Law Group, P.A. and Berger Montague PC. filed a lawsuit in Federal Court claiming unpaid overtime and seeking unpaid wages, double damages, and other relief for Appraisers, nationally.  The lawsuit alleges that BBG “misclassified” Appraisers as salary-paid (i.e., exempt) employees, and that the law otherwise requires them to be paid overtime wages for all hours worked over 40 per week by nature of their job duties, which include training, conducting initial appraisals (consisting of inputting data into BBG’s software), and drafting reports while adhering to BBG’s guidelines, among other things.  The Appraisers in the lawsuit allege that they worked more than 40 hours per week to complete their job duties.  However, because BBG improperly classified Appraisers as exempt from overtime, it failed to pay its Appraisers overtime wages for hours worked over 40 per week. Click here to see the Complaint.

Any current or former BBG Appraiser who was not paid overtime wages for hours worked over 40 per week at any time at least as far back as (i) September 3, 2018 in New York; and/or (ii) September 18, 2021 anywhere else in the United States, can join the case. To the extent you are interested in these claims, or have any questions or would like additional information, please complete our Contact Us Form below and a member of our firms will respond.
